My Work

Some of my notable and most enjoyable work has included designing e-learning at the University of Southern California’s Institute for Creative Technologies, writing and reporting for Marketplace on public radio, and designing systems for information management in a number of settings–including for Yahoo! TV.

Check out my profile on LinkedIn for a detailed rundown of my work experiences.

Skills

I am an excellent verbal and written communicator with a passion for learning. My professional work has built upon these core talents and fostered further skill development in instructional design, information design, and technology development.

One of my most valuable skills applies both professionally and personally: an ability to synthesize and communicate ideas between people of different backgrounds–whether university professors, public radio audiences, Army officers, film producers, nurses, software developers, or entertainment journalists. I have exercised this skill as a writer, editor, producer, public speaker, radio broadcaster, live event emcee, and instructor.

Passion

I have a passion for learning, and for sharing this passion with others. I am particularly interested in designing education beyond the classroom, especially when it comes to improving individuals’ personal and intellectual development.

The focus of my passions is usually found at the intersections of design, psychology, education, storytelling, and personal development.
